PrimaryOne Health Women’s Health Program Administrator, Brigid Everhart

WHAT: Medline and the Medline Foundation announced five community health centers, across the country, to be awarded grants. Each awardee will receive $10,000 in funding to address a variety of unique healthcare challenges affecting patients and people who receive care in these facilities.

Funds awarded to PrimaryOne Health will go toward providing free car seat/stroller systems to expectant mothers, many of whom are uninsured or on Medicaid, after they successfully complete the CenteringPregnancy ® prenatal care program.

“Understanding the important role community health centers play, Medline developed its Community Impact Grant program for Community Health Centers to help remove barriers preventing patients from getting care at these facilities,” said Karen Frey, Medline’s senior philanthropy manager.

“PrimaryOne Health works to not only provide quality care, but to address the social determinants of health for our patients. Safety for our newborn patients and the cost to achieve that should not be a barrier, if we can help it,” said Charleta B. Tavares, PrimaryOne Health, chief executive officer.

A check will be presented to PrimaryOne Health by Medline Philanthropy team.
