Thank you to all who joined PrimaryOne Health in recognizing those in our community who exemplify our mission of providing access to services that improve the health status of families — including people experiencing financial, social or cultural barriers to healthcare.
We are humbled to celebrate over 20 years of serving the central Ohio community as the longest running Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). With the commitment of community members like yourself, we hope to continue providing quality health services regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. In hosting our 5th Annual Healthcare Justice Awards, revenue generated from this event go toward our Community Charity Fund housed at The Columbus Foundation, in order to pay for medical services for our patients who are unable to pay for the quality healthcare services they need to thrive as a healthy community.
This year, our theme, The Extra Mile recognizes that this important work can only be accomplished by working with those in our community to address our patients’ social determinants of health to build a healthy community.
We were able to honor two of Columbus’ finest, Debera Diggs, Community Outreach Coordinator at Mid-Ohio Foodbank as well as Dr. Gregary Graves, Director of Vision Services at PrimaryOne Health. Their unwavering commitment to tackling barriers to care and always going the extra mile made them both very worthy candidates.
