Federal Agency Announces a Loan Repayment Program that Supports Health Care Practitioners Working in Vulnerable Communities
Columbus, Ohio – PrimaryOne Health, a leading practitioner of healthcare for Central Ohio will host a roundtable discussion with its practitioners and leadership from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. HRSA is the primary federal agency for improving health care to people who are geographically isolated, economically or medically vulnerable.
Many PrimaryOne Health practitioners are receiving loan repayment awards through HRSA’s National Health Service Corps (NHSC), a program that builds healthy communities by supporting qualified health care practitioners dedicated to working in areas of the United States and its territories with limited access to primary health care, regular dental, behavioral health care, and preventive screenings.
HRSA representatives will provide information about loan repayment opportunities that are now accepting applications from clinicians, including those working on the forefront of the opioid crisis.
WHAT: An announcement from HRSA leadership to address the workforce needs of health centers and meet with NHSC clinicians providing primary health care in urban and rural communities in Ohio.
